We will decide where you will get your treatment during your laser consultation visit. Immediate treatment of a skin burn is usually the easiest way to minimise scars. In a third-degree burn, the damage completely destroys the thick layer of skin and reaches the fatty tissue underneath. Second-degree burns, also called partial-thickness burns, affect the outermost layer of skin and extend to the middle skin layer below. For these treatments, we will use other medications. First-degree burns don't blister and only involve the top layer of the skin. For some cases, we may do the treatment in the operating room.
